Great Blue Heron Wading at Sunset is a 9x12 inch watercolour painting of a Great Blue Heron with gold leaf sun. It is inspired by a beautiful heron that I met on an early evening walk at Sunset. Usually these magnificent birds fly away but that evening we both stood quietly watching each other. The back ground of the heron is a sun with a rustic layer of gold leaf.
