I love finding different materials to paint and create on. This pileated woodpecker was painted on a up-cycled piece of board that was discarded but with a sand a new life emerged on the board. When I start sanding the surface I never know what animal will emerge. This piece was meant to be one of my favourite pileated woodpeckers. Each of these up cycled art pieces are treated so that they can live outside. How to pick art for your home? My home is full of art. I chose what to put on my walls based on what I love. Does it speak to you? Do you love it? This weekend is the Boreal Shores Art Tour (August 17th-18th) it is an amazing opportunity to go out and look for original locally created art that you can love. I am inviting people to come to my summer studio where I have collected some of my most recent loved work. My studio is located in the vehicle restricted area of Victoria beach just over 1 km from the parking lot. Share that you are on the art tour and parking is free.
